A physical slider, custom software and animated content brought Defender’s features into an interaction visitors could control.
The brief
Defender House, SXSW Sydney · 2023
Create an interactive installation that lets visitors explore the Defender story through movement. The work began at Defender House during SXSW Sydney and extended to installations in Malibu and New York.
The delivery

The ConfigurAR portal and AR Slider combined custom hardware, software and animation. Moving the display revealed content and feature callouts, giving visitors a hands-on way to explore the vehicle.
The team developed the software and hardware, created the animation content and assembled the installation on site. Each setting required transport, installation and testing around the space and visitor experience.
The Sydney installation was delivered through Seeker Agency. The Malibu and New York projects carried the interactive approach into further Defender settings.
